Weekend headache

Now that the weekend is coming, its another headache of what to cook. I don't normally cook during weekdays, but during weekend, my family expect me to cook the whole course including soup. Its a headache to plan a whole course meal of 4 dishes exluding soup for the weekend. The dishes should not be spicy, and the soup should be simmer over a few hours. (no simple boiled soup). Any suggestions with recipe, anyone?

What next

The cloudy day outside doesn't help much. Now I am torn between to wait and see what happen next or to quit and venture into something new; but then again, to quit now would be so unfair to me. If I am to venture into something new, I am too old to start from scratch. Now the question left would be to leave or to stay. I picture myself as something floating on a vast ocean without any land in sight with the horizon so far away.
